Aren't our costumes amazing. We all had so much fun dressing up and then making a short movie with our team leaders.

Special visitor to Kereru

Catherine from Caritas visited Kereru. She helped us think about our gifts and consider how we could share them with others. We learnt what Compassion and Empathy means and what these two Gifts look like.

Greetings from Mrs Havell

I am excited to be teaching the children in Kereru from now until the end of the year. I was pleased that I could meet Mrs Atkinson and Mrs Mooney and they could tell me all about the class and where they are in their learning. My husband and I recently moved from Christchurch where we had lived for 23 years and we now love living in Petone. Before coming to Sacred Heart  I had previously taught a Year 3/4 class at St Joseph's School. I look forward to meeting you all and if I haven't already met you please introduce yourselves.

Students all enjoyed taking part in Māori Language week, we had a number of visitors to our school. We also took some quick videos as a school either in classes or at home using te Reo.

Inquiry Time

This week in Kereru we started our Inquiry unit, which is every thing and anything to do with animals. Here is a video of some of us thinking about what we already know about different types of animals and their habitats
